THE HUNTRESS COLLECTION

The Huntress Collection is the creative vision of Paula Shapiro and Kei Zemlicka, inspired by one very long layover in Hong Kong, where both women were travelling on behalf of a leading NYC fashion company. Always on the go, they wanted to look stylish and pulled together while still feeling comfortable, even on a 12 hour flight overseas. They envisioned a laid-back collection that delivers casual fashion and comfort, with a bit of an edge.

VERUCA’S WORLD:  BIKER BITCHES

I’m happy that jumpsuits and rompers are back in style, I feel like there’s a whole realm of fashion that still hasn’t been infiltrated by them. They’re a good option for fuller figure girls, although maybe not when it comes to more structured pieces like this playsuit ($150) by Huntress. When paired with heels the silhouette is incredible!

I’m all for choosing fashion over comfort (news flash: sporting bare legs in the cold is not runway material so don’t do it. The look is as painful as it must feel). Luckily, this winter has welcomed a trend that doesn’t require an ounce of sacrifice–denim leggings. As comfy as they are cool, these stylish leg warmers have become my winter wardrobe.

phpThumbThe Huntress Collection knit denim leggings are my absolute favorite ($68). The young brand is getting noticed for creating high fashion pieces that you can live in. The leggings have stretch but don’t stretch out, can be paired with anything (think snow boots, high heels, floppy sweater, fitted blazer) and have figure-flattering stitching that’s practically identical to the real thing.

Another one of my recent finds is PH8, Bebe’s spin-off store that features sportswear-inspired clothes. The line includes sexy denim leggings with zippers that have a hint of sheen ($42). Reasonable priced (the highest-ticket item is $139), PH8 has been a hit among celebs including Kim Kardashian, who went for a chunky sweater, and Katy Perry, who hits the gym in one of the workout outfits.

Huntress Playsuit–There aren’t many jumpsuits that we feel confident about pulling off: far too often we feel like we’re wearing a 1970’s Halloween costume where all of our bulges and rolls show through. ThisHuntress Playsuit ($150), however, is one of those exceptions to the rule. Perfect to wear to work with your favorite pair of pumps, this onesie is sophisticated and even comes with a detachable belt. Now you don’t have to feel like a stuffed (or overgrown) sausage to pull off this trendy look!
